How do I get referred for possible obesity surgery? |
| Answer | Your GP will need to refer you to an obesity centre. This is a specialist centre where the management of obese patients is performed using a multidisciplinary approach, with a physician, surgeon, clinical nurse specialist, dietician and psychologist forming the team. They will decide what the best individual treatment plan is, and if surgery is an option, this will be offered. |
